Job summary

OHM Advisors is seeking a GIS Specialist to support impactful projects across engineering, planning, architecture, and water resources. You will collaborate with a GIS team to develop databases, support field data collection, and create mapping solutions using ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.

You will contribute to public-facing apps and StoryMaps, with mentorship and exposure to emerging geospatial technologies, while advancing communities and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Planning, or related field
• Strong experience with Esri ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
• Proven work building and launching ArcGIS Experience Builder apps and ArcGIS StoryMaps
• Strong understanding of urban planning principles, zoning, and community development
• Experience creating map products with basic cartographic principles
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
• Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and eagerness to learn
• Ability to work onsite at OHM locations in OH or PA (local candidates preferred)

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing and maintaining GIS databases for utility management and other infrastructure projects using ArcGIS Pro
• Assist in the design and development of GIS database schemas
• Design and launch public-facing Esri ArcGIS Experience Builder apps and ArcGIS StoryMaps
• Utilize ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online to support a variety of project needs
• Participate in project meetings and professional development opportunities
• Represent the firm professionally when interacting with internal teams, clients, and the public
