Job summary

OHM Advisors, a Community Advancement firm, is seeking a GIS Specialist to support engineering, planning, architecture, and water resources projects. You will work with a collaborative GIS team on field data collection, GIS database development, and mapping to improve infrastructure and advance communities.

Onsite work at OH locations in OH or PA is required for local candidates. The role offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to emerging geospatial technologies, with opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems, Planning or related field; GIS focus preferred.
• Strong experience with Esri ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
• Proven track record building and launching ArcGIS Experience Builder apps and ArcGISStoryMaps.
• Strong understanding of urban planning principles, zoning and community development.
• Experience creating map products with basic cartographic principles.
• Strong communication, organizational and collaboration skills.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and eagerness to learn.
• Ability to work onsite at OHM locations in OH or PA; local candidates preferred.

• Assist with developing and maintaining GIS databases for utility management and other infrastructure projects using ArcGIS Pro.
• Assist in the design and development of GIS database schemas.
• Design and launch public facing Esri ArcGIS Experience Builder apps and ArcGISStoryMaps.
• Utilize ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online to support a variety of project needs.
• Participate in project meetings and professional development opportunities.
• Represent the firm professionally when interacting with internal teams, clients, and the public.

What You Will Contribute to OHM Advisors
