Job summary

Esri is seeking a GIS subject matter expert to advise customers on complex business challenges using GIS technology. You will present solutions, demonstrate ArcGIS capabilities, and articulate value across government and enterprise contexts.

The role emphasizes relationship-building, technical storytelling, and strategic problem solving. Join an account team and leverage problem-solving skills to show how GIS reveals patterns, trends, and actionable insights.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications.
Experience in or supporting state or local government.
Understanding of ArcGIS from an IT context (hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, cloud)

Responsibilities

Build relationships. Present, demonstrate, and support selling Esri software and solutions as part of the account team.
Be an expert. Become a subject matter expert of state and local government as well as a technical expert of ArcGIS.
Solve problems. Proactively craft and propose solutions that clarify how GIS brings business value to our customers by addressing the critical challenges they face.
Tell our story. Present technical demonstrations of proposed solutions to customers and design presentations for technical and non-technical audiences.
