Job summary

Ameren Illinois is seeking an Engineering Rep (Electric and Gas Distribution Mapping Specialist) to create, maintain, and analyze geospatial data supporting safe, reliable utility operations in central and southern Illinois. You will map distribution and transmission assets and ensure data integrity across GIS systems.

The role requires GIS expertise, attention to detail, and knowledge of utility network models to translate asset data into accurate maps and datasets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of algebra or above in high school with grade C or better.
• Satisfactory completion of DC/AC electricity or equivalent courses with grade C or better.

Responsibilities

• Perform electric and gas distribution mapping and maintenance.
• Review and process mapping corrections from field crews.
• Update system maps based on as‑built construction prints.
• Maintain accurate distribution data using ArcFM / GIS software.
