Job summary
Talantir seeks an ETL Developer in New York to build and optimize data pipelines and APIs for geospatial and non-geospatial data. You will work with Oracle, SQL Server and PostgreSQL, applying SSIS/SSRS/SSAS and cloud data services to deliver reliable analytics-ready datasets.
You will design data models, implement tests, and collaborate with GIS analysts and developers to meet business requirements and standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; master's preferred.
- Minimum 4 years in ETL/Data engineering with geographic data focus.
- Proficient in T‑SQL/PL‑SQL with MS SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL.
- Experience with SSRS/SSAS/SSIS and data warehousing concepts.
- Strong SQL and data modeling, plus Python or C# for ETL/API work.
- Experience with cloud data services and DevOps practices.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test and maintain ETL pipelines for large datasets.
- Extract data from Oracle, SQL Server; ensure quality and integrity.
- Create APIs and data models for analytics and integration.
- Build reporting solutions using SSRS and data warehouses.
- Optimize database performance and ensure data security.
- Collaborate with GIS analysts and developers on data requirements.
- Document data flows, models and API specs for knowledge sharing.
- Mentor team members on database tasks and best practices.
