Job summary

Actalent in Richmond, VA is seeking a GIS Specialist / Distribution Field Technician to blend GIS and field duties for electric distribution projects and joint use programs. You will work in a fast-paced environment with training, leadership opportunities, and mentorship for a long-term power delivery career.

Role is 90% field-based in two-person teams; weekly overnight travel in Virginia and North Carolina.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; 2+ years in GIS/field work.
• Ability to perform field and office tasks, including outdoor work.
• Excellent communication and teamwork; proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Support electric distribution and joint use projects in the field.
• Collect and document GIS/field data using iPads and field apps.
• Collaborate with teammates and stakeholders in Agile environment.
• Travel weekly overnight within Virginia and North Carolina.
• Operate rental vehicles safely and maintain equipment.
• Assist with storm response and emergency mobilization as needed.
