Job summary

Inceed, a staffing direct placement firm, partners with a company to hire a GIS Developer in Houston, Texas. You will develop and maintain enterprise GIS applications, web, mobile, and desktop GIS tools, and automate data conversion and spatial analyses.

You will work with cross-functional teams to improve geospatial data visibility, support decision-making, and drive GIS modernization and enterprise integration within a pipeline-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of GIS development or analysis experience.
• Strong experience with Esri ArcGIS Suite.
• Hands-on experience with ArcGIS Enterprise, Server, or Pro.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, C#, or Java.
• Experience building GIS solutions with web mapping tools.
• Knowledge of ETL methodologies and spatial data workflows.
• Experience with spatial databases such as SQL Server or PODS.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical GIS solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geomatics, Computer Science, or related field.

Position: GIS Developer

Compensation: $45 – 55/hour, depending on experience

Location: Houston, Texas

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled GIS Developer to join their team!

This is a strong opportunity for a GIS professional who enjoys building practical solutions that support pipeline, facility, land, and regulatory operations. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to improve geospatial data visibility, streamline workflows, and support business-critical decision-making through GIS technology.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Develop and maintain enterprise GIS applications, maps, and services
• Build web, mobile, and desktop geospatial applications
• Automate data conversion, QA/QC, and spatial analysis tasks
• Design, query, and maintain spatial databases
• Integrate GIS tools with enterprise systems and APIs
• Troubleshoot GIS issues and support end users

• Exposure to cloud platforms, especially Azure
• Experience supporting energy or pipeline operations
• Background in asset integrity or regulatory GIS workflows
