A client of TEKsystems is building a new strategic team within its engineering organization to identify high-impact opportunities for broadband network expansion. • Develop and maintain spatial models to support strategic planning and overbuild analysis.
  • Use tools such as QGIS, ArcGIS, MapInfo, and proprietary platforms to visualize and interpret geographic trends.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate large datasets from internal and cloud-based sources (GCP).
  • Build automated scripts and workflows in Python to clean, transform, and analyze data.
  • Validate data sources and cross-reference internal datasets to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Collaborate with engineering, planning, and business strategy teams to align data insights with expansion goals.
  • Create dashboards, maps, and reports that clearly communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Investigate and resolve data gaps by proactively engaging with internal teams and systems.

  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) tools and environments.
  • Strong initiative and analytical mindset — able to chase down data silos and validate information before building models.
  • Understanding of telecom infrastructure and broadband market dynamics.
Preferred Qualifications
