Job summary

A technology solutions company in Dauphin County is seeking a GIS Specialist to support GIS architecture and maintain ESRI COTS solutions. The specialist will be responsible for advising on GIS solutions, configuring and deploying ESRI products, and ensuring system functionality by performing installations and troubleshooting tasks. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience working with ESRI products and managing ArcGIS Online. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to maintain hardware and software inventories.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience designing and configuring ESRI products.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Advise and assist in GIS architecture solutioning
• Develop, configure, deploy, and maintain GIS COTS solutions such as ESRI Survey123, ESRI Collector, etc.
• Perform hardware and software installations, relocations, testing and routine maintenance.
• Lead efforts to troubleshoot CADD/GIS system hardware and software problems.
• Exhibit expertise in teaching/conveying technical and/or functional courses/concepts and develop training related materials.
• Demonstrate proven experience in troubleshooting with little supervision.
• Assist in developing documentation, standards, and direction for systems.
• Assist in troubleshooting GIS system hardware problems and collaborate with service and warranty vendors for necessary repairs and fixes.
• Track version upgrades and notify proper parties of available upgrades to GIS Systems software.
• Assist with resolving IT helpdesk tickets, phone and online problem reporting and maintaining problem report records.
• Maintain current inventory of all hardware, software, upgrades and fixes for each site.
• Maintain configuration charts of current inventory.
• Maintain data backups and data archives and provide data retrieval from backup.
• Monitor system status and data integrity.
• Communicate status to managers and project sponsors.

Skills

• Experience designing, configuring and administering ESRI COTS products (Survey123, Dashboard, Field Maps) – Required, 2 years
• Experience administering an ESRI ArcGIS Online organization – Required, 2 years
