Job summary
RS&H in Fort Lauderdale seeks a skilled GIS Specialist to manage the full lifecycle of geospatial data and systems, developing enterprise GIS databases and performing advanced spatial analyses. This embedded role reports to the FDOT D4 office and requires on-site presence five days a week.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in GIS/Geography/CS (Master’s preferred) with 5+ years GIS experience, strong SQL and Python, and excellent communication skills in English.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science or related field; Master’s preferred.
- Proficient SQL and Python.
- Strong written and verbal English communication with stakeholders.
- Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online administration; Esri desktop tools; multi-user environments.
Responsibilities
- Serve as GIS analyst programmer and collaborate to design, develop, and test GIS applications.
- Administer on-prem ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online for the FDOT District Four.
- Act as point of contact for GIS projects and tasks; coordinate meetings.
- Maintain GIS applications, servers, layers, and feature classes for FDOT offices.
- Attend requirement gathering and GIS coordination meetings; define tasks and execute them.
