Job summary

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities is seeking a GIS Analyst 1/2/3 flex to support Keep Alaska Moving. You will develop geospatial data, maps, and applications, and help maintain the state’s GIS backbone (LRS) while working with teams across DOT&PF to provide tools and insights for project delivery and public communication.

The role offers multi-site opportunities in Juneau, Fairbanks, or Anchorage, with OT-eligible hourly pay for Analyst 1/2 and biweekly compensation

Qualifications

• Knowledge of geospatial data collection, storage, analysis, visualization, and distribution.
• Strong foundation in web technologies, security, privacy, and user interfaces.
• Ability to analyze problems, plan solutions, and communicate results clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop geospatial data, maps, and applications for DOT&PF.
• Maintain the Linear Referencing System (LRS) and related GIS backbone.
• Collaborate with statewide DOT&PF groups to deliver tools and insights for project delivery.
• Support reporting, emergency responses, and public communication with GIS outputs.
