Job summary

Gulfshoresal is seeking a GIS Analyst to maintain asset data and develop mapping tools for internal and external customers. You will update data layers for water, sewer, and streets and create StoryMaps, dashboards, and online content in coordination with the Public Works GIS team.

Ideal candidates have an Associate degree in GIS-related field and 1–3 years of related experience, with strong ESRI tool knowledge and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Geography, Engineering, Information Systems or related field and 1–3 years of related work experience.
• Strong knowledge and experience using ESRI tools (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Utility Network, StoryMaps, Experiences).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of city infrastructure (water, sewer, streets, drainage).
• Ability to read plans, contracts, and geospatial data.

Responsibilities

• Maintain GIS asset data and mapping tools for internal/external customers.
• Update city maps and data layers (water, sewer, streets) using Enterprise GIS software.
• Create and maintain StoryMaps, Experiences, dashboards and online content.
• Support civil engineering staff with meetings, reports, and open records requests.
• Coordinate with City GIS department and other departments.
