Job summary
Advanced Technology & Research Corporation seeks a GIS Analyst to join the Engineering Services Division at SFOMF near Fort Lauderdale, FL. You will develop GIS solutions, map ocean-related data, and support analysts and engineers with spatial analyses and data management.
Requirements include a BA/BS in a relevant field and 3 years of ESRI ArcGIS experience, plus familiarity with geodatabases, lidar, and SQL.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in geography, remote sensing, engineering, environmental science, natural resource management, or related field
- 3 years of professional experience with ESRI ArcGIS, customized map development, field data collection/GPS surveys, and geodatabase development/management
- Job experience with the Navy or other DoD laboratories is a plus
Responsibilities
- Develop GIS solutions and graphical representations of ocean-related data
- Discover patterns and trends through spatial mapping
- Develop mapping applications and tools for seabed data
- Manage a digital library of geographic maps and GIS data formats
- Serve as technical point of contact for GIS tasks
- ETL wide variety of data formats and integration in GIS
