Job summary

The Sanborn Map Company in Colorado Springs is seeking a GIS Analyst I to provide expertise in geospatial data processing, quality control, and data management for client projects.

You will translate requirements into reliable geospatial data products, perform spatial analyses, and create web maps and reports to support decision making and visualization. Office-based role in CO or Charlotte, with collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of professional GIS analyst experience.
• Proficiency with Esri ArcGIS products including ArcGIS Pro Portal ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Server; plus QGIS and PostGIS.
• Ability to communicate in an effective and timely manner with customers project leads and team members.

Responsibilities

• Working with geospatial tools and technologies including Esri ArcGIS and open source platforms
• Performing geospatial analysis data collection georeferencing and digitizing data automation QAQC and mapping activities
• Creating web based cartographic maps reports and presentations
• Translating customer business requirements into technical solutions and workflows
• Documenting processing workflows methodologies and project findings
• Other duties as assigned
