Job summary

HNTB Corporation in Tallahassee, FL is seeking an intermediate GIS Data Support specialist to perform GIS analysis, data conversion/migration, and map production with minimal supervision on projects.

You will interact with clients, provide GIS training, and develop GIS applications using ESRI tools and web-based development methods. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/Geography/Planning or related field and 3 years related experience using ESRI, Intergraph, or Bentley software products.
• In lieu of degree, 7 years of relevant GIS experience.

Responsibilities

• Interacts directly with clients, both internal and external, and provides training and process knowledge to promote GIS.
• Provides GIS technical support and promotes GIS technology to design offices.
• Provides market research and business development consulting as needed.
• Develops and completes a GIS project lifecycle, requirements through implementation.
• Develops or maintains GIS applications using a combination of GIS software, web-based development tools, and/or Windows development tools.
• Develops applications using Arcview software to enhance existing and future GIS projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
