Job summary

Minnkota Power Cooperative Inc. is seeking a GIS Analyst to maintain and update GIS databases, ensure data integrity, and design GIS data models.

You will prepare documentation and integrate data from various agencies into Minnkota’s GIS, while performing spatial analyses and issuing regulatory-ready data for capital projects. You will also create and maintain ArcGIS Portal and ArcGIS Online web apps, support data system integrations (e.g., IFS and Darla), and provide technical training on

Qualifications

• Education as stated:Geography/Geospatial/CS or GIS cert.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Two years GIS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update GIS databases and maps.
• Maintain data integrity, connectivity, and consistency of the GIS system.
• Design and modify standard GIS data models.
• Prepare proper documentation for standard data management procedures.
• Integrate data from other agencies/utilities into Minnkota’s GIS.
• Assist in GIS data entry and retrieval.
• Be responsible for spatial analysis using existing or new GIS data.
• Prepare GIS data for regulatory reporting and capital project development.
• Work with GIS and enterprise database connections.
• Provide custom scripts and models to automate routine GIS tasks.
• Generate maps, reports, and asset inventories for internal teams.
• Create, maintain, and update web applications in ArcGIS Portal and ArcGIS Online.
• Support integration between GIS and other corporate data systems (e.g. IFS and Darla).
• Provide technical training on use of corporate GIS.
• Support corporate field devices and field data collection.
