Job summary

HNTB Corporation in Louisiana is seeking an entry-level GIS data support specialist to assist in analysis, data conversion, migration and map production. You will contribute to geographic projects using GIS software to support infrastructure initiatives.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Geography or Planning or 4 years of relevant experience in GIS. Familiarity with ArcGIS and allied tools is preferred, and you will work within a collaborative team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Geography, Planning or other related field of study.
• In lieu of degree, 4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience using ESRI, Intergraph, or Bentley software products.
• Experience using Microsoft Project and Adobe InDesign.

Responsibilities

• Assist in GIS data support including analysis, data conversion/migration and map production.
• Develop GIS projects using ArcGIS or other GIS software to enhance existing and future GIS projects.
• Creates geographic maps by means of available datasets.
• Develops geographic databases, including designs and models.
• Performs field data collection using prescribed technology, methodology and specifications.
