Job summary

ELOS Environmental, an Aventia Company, is seeking a GIS Analyst in Hammond, LA to support a multidisciplinary team of GIS professionals and environmental scientists. You will process spatial data, create maps and figures for technical reports, and ensure accuracy and alignment with project standards.

The role involves coordinating field data collection, GIS data validation, and producing exhibit materials for environmental permits and regulatory submittals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Environmental Science, GIS, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience using ArcPro and ArcGIS Online.
• Proficient in performing spatial queries, overlays, and buffers.
• Strong map design skills, including labeling and layout.

Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and maintain spatial and tabular data across formats (e.g., .gdb, .shp, .kmz).
• Perform spatial analysis to support environmental impact assessments and site selection.
• Create high-quality figures and graphics for technical reports and regulatory submittals.
• Ensure cartographic accuracy and project-standard symbology.
• Build and maintain geospatial databases for ongoing projects.
• Coordinate with field teams to collect geospatial data using GPS and mobile GIS tools.
• Develop figures for permits and regulatory documents.
• Translate technical information into spatial data for stakeholders.
