VDOT is seeking an advanced GIS Analyst to support the Highway Maintenance Management Section. The role focuses on GIS data analysis, validation, and enterprise asset data management using ESRI technologies.

You will develop GIS applications, serve as a technical liaison between ITD, asset management system administrators and end users, and build multi-layered maps while working with minimal supervision in a hybrid office setting.

Qualifikationen

• BS/BA in GIS, Geography, Cartography, Computer Science, or related field with GIS experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience designing, building, and delivering web applications.
• Excellent problem-solving, verbal, and written communication, design, development, and debugging skills.
• Must have experience in the development of complex analysis and mapping projects.
• Must communicate technical information to non-technical computer users, both orally and in writing.
• Candidates should demonstrate high competence in ESRI GIS software (ArcGIS Pro 3.x+), including ArcSDE and ArcGIS Enterprise.
• Must work independently to develop GIS tools and applications, perform complex analyses, and develop multi-layered maps.
• Self-starter with a technical background in software and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Candidates should have proficiency in Python.
