Job summary

Everforth Apex in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a GIS Analyst 1 for the Aerial Operations Center to operate UAS and support aerial inspections, data collection, and airspace coordination.

You'll execute flight missions under RPIC, perform pre/post-inspections, collect and quality-check data, maintain logs, and assist in weather planning and safety compliance. Candidates with Part 107, FAA knowledge, GIS skills, and a related degree are preferred.

This role requires technical expertise, customer service, and communication skills.Key Responsibilities* Support and participate in the Safety Management Program.* Operate UAS to conduct aerial inspections, surveys, and data collection.* Serve as a FAA Remote Pilot-in-Command (RPIC).* Plan and execute flight missions, ensuring compliance with all safety, operational, and regulatory requirements.* Perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections to ensure the UAS is in optimal working condition.* Analyze weather conditions and adjust flight plans.* Collect, process, and quality check aerial data, including photographs, videos, and sensor data.* Maintain detailed flight logs and reports and troubleshoot UAS equipment.* Provide coordination, deconfliction, and support for the company’s airspace management program.* Provide dispatch authorization and scheduling support for aerial contractors and operations.* Support restoration efforts during storms and emergency situations.* Provide routine help-desk customer support, coordinating activities, and providing technical assistance.Required Qualifications* FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.* Knowledge of FAA regulations, UAS standards, weather, airspace operations, and airspace authorizations.* Valid Driver’s License; able to obtain a CDL license, if requested.* Understanding of UAS technology, including flight planning software and data processing tools.* Willingness to travel and work in various field conditions on occasion.Preferred Qualifications* Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Aviation, Geospatial Science).* Experience with UAS operations in the energy sector.* Knowledge of GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and remote sensing.* Proficiency in data analysis, management, reporting, and product development.* FAA Part 61 Pilot License.Work EnvironmentThe role is predominately stationed at the Aerial Operations Center (AOC), indoors. It requires the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions on occasion and flexibility to work non-traditional hours as needed.
