Job summary

HDR, Inc. seeks a GIS Analyst in Houston to contribute to multidisciplinary projects and leverage ArcGIS capabilities across design, analysis, and mapping tasks.

You will mentor peers, assist in project planning and budgeting, and develop robust cartographic products while advancing geospatial workflows within an employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Planning, Engineering, Natural Sciences, or closely related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of practical GIS experience; advanced degree may offset years.
• Proficient in ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online and extensions e.g. 3D Analyst, Spatial Analyst.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 Apps.
• Working knowledge of interoperability tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Commitment to employee-owned culture is a must.

In the role of GIS Analyst, we'll count on you to:

• Support GIS tasks for multidisciplinary projects
• Mentor other GIS professionals

Preferred Qualifications

• GISP, AICP, PE or other professional certification a plus

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Planning, Engineering, Natural Sciences, or closely related field

• Proficient in use of ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS extensions e.g., 3D Analyst, Spatial Analyst
