Job summary

Resource Data is seeking a GIS Analyst who will independently produce GIS products and analyses to help clients make informed business decisions. You will work with project teams to apply spatial analysis, cartography, and data management to solve client questions and deliver high-quality GIS solutions.

We value experience with Esri Experience Builder and proficiency in GIS software for data management and visualization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of direct GIS experience or demonstrated capability.
  • Experience using Esri Experience Builder to configure web GIS applications/dashboards.
  • Proficiency with GIS software for data management, spatial analysis, and cartography.
  • Ability to communicate analysis results clearly through maps, reports, and technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Produce GIS products and analyses to support client decisions.
  • Interfacing with project teams and stakeholders to apply spatial analysis and cartography.
  • Configure and execute geoprocessing tools and models for spatial analysis.
  • Create and update maps, reports, and figures to communicate results.
  • Load and manage data in geodatabases and complete metadata.
  • Manage online GIS environments: users, roles, content, and settings.
  • Support low-code GIS web products like Experience Builder for clients.

Job description

As a GIS Analyst at Resource Data, you will independently produce GIS products and analyses that help clients make informed business and operational decisions. You’ll work with project teams and stakeholders to apply spatial analysis, cartographic principles, data management, and web GIS technologies to solve spatially related business questions. This role provides opportunities to contribute to client projects through independent analysis, high-quality GIS deliverables, and practical GIS solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accuracy of emergency response systems by interfacing with members of the public to gather relevant parcel change information and coordinating updates to public GIS data
  • Configure and execute geoprocessing tools and models for spatial analysis and GIS data processing, including vector and raster operations
  • Apply cartographic principles to create effective and aesthetically pleasing printed and digital maps, reports, and figures
  • Create and update Field Maps maps, forms, layers, symbology, and data collection workflows to support client field operations
  • Configure low-code GIS web products using out-of-the-box capabilities like Experience Builder
  • Load and manage data in file and enterprise geodatabases from a variety of formats and complete metadata according to best practices or client standards
  • Manage groups, users, roles, content organization, and item settings in online and enterprise GIS environments
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years of direct experience in a similar GIS role, or demonstrated capability to perform the key responsibilities of the position
  • Experience using Esri Experience Builder to configure and develop web GIS applications and dashboards
  • Proficiency with GIS software for data management, spatial analysis, and cartography
  • Ability to communicate analysis results clearly through maps, reports, and technical documentation
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working directly with clients in a consulting role
  • Industry experience in municipal government GIS environments
