Job summary

IDR, Inc. is seeking a GIS Analyst to join our Fort Worth, TX team. The role focuses on ensuring spatial data accuracy and delivering advanced geospatial analytics to support strategic planning, infrastructure management, and operations.

The position blends GIS data stewardship with advanced spatial analysis, automation, dashboard development, and data visualization to improve processes in storm water management and related operations. A collaborative, team-oriented culture is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Ensures accuracy and integrity of spatial data.
• Delivers advanced geospatial analytics for planning and operations.
• Combines GIS data stewardship with spatial analysis, automation, dashboards and data visualization.

Responsibilities

• 5+ years of experience with GIS data management.
• 3+ years’ QA/QC responsibilities including data gaps and design of data engineering.
• 3+ years of experience with ArcGIS Online – creating web maps and apps.
• Strong understanding of spatial data formats (REST, shapefiles, geoJSON, KML).

Position Overview for the GIS Analyst:

This position will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of spatial data, and delivering advanced geospatial analytics that support strategic planning, infrastructure management, and operational decision-making. This position combines GIS data stewardship with advanced spatial analysis, automation, dashboard development, and data visualization to improve business processes across Storm water management and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• 5+ years of experience working with GIS data management
• 3+ years’ experience with QA/QC responsibilities (QA/QC, finding data gaps, data comparison and data design and data engineering)
• 3+ years of experience with Arc GIS Online - creating web maps and apps
• Strong understanding of spatial data formats (e.g., REST, shapefiles, geoJSON, KML).
