Qualifications:
- Employment as a teacher or coach with a valid Iowa Coaching certificate or coaching endorsement
- Demonstrated interest in and aptitude for performing the tasks listed
Requirements Include But Not Limited To:
- Instruct participants in fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training necessary for individual and team success. The instruction should also foster moral values, pride of accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self-discipline, self-confidence, and self-esteem.
- Cooperate and communicate with parents
- Promote all activities in the school program to foster school spirit
- Show interest in athletes during off-season activities and classroom efforts
- File completed inventory with the Activity Director within two weeks after the season ends
- Follow proper transportation procedures
- Maintain facility neatness and cooperate with custodians
- Display enthusiasm and interest in the school's activity program
- Establish fundamental philosophy, skills, and techniques to be taught
- Be knowledgeable about matters pertaining to the sport
- Be punctual and organized for practices and contests
- Use innovative coaching techniques alongside proven methods
- Provide leadership to foster positive attitudes and results
- Report to the Activity Director
Salary: Per Schedule
Physical Requirements: Bending, carrying, climbing, driving, lifting, pushing/pulling, reaching, sitting, standing, walking.
