Job description

Qualifications:

• Employment as a teacher or coach with a valid Iowa Coaching certificate or coaching endorsement
• Demonstrated interest in and aptitude for performing the tasks listed

Requirements Include But Not Limited To:

• Instruct participants in fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training necessary for individual and team success. The instruction should also foster moral values, pride of accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self-discipline, self-confidence, and self-esteem.
• Cooperate and communicate with parents
• Promote all activities in the school program to foster school spirit
• Show interest in athletes during off-season activities and classroom efforts
• File completed inventory with the Activity Director within two weeks after the season ends
• Follow proper transportation procedures
• Maintain facility neatness and cooperate with custodians
• Display enthusiasm and interest in the school's activity program
• Establish fundamental philosophy, skills, and techniques to be taught
• Be knowledgeable about matters pertaining to the sport
• Be punctual and organized for practices and contests
• Use innovative coaching techniques alongside proven methods
• Provide leadership to foster positive attitudes and results
• Report to the Activity Director

Salary: Per Schedule

Physical Requirements: Bending, carrying, climbing, driving, lifting, pushing/pulling, reaching, sitting, standing, walking.
