Job summary

Phoenix Union High School District No. 210 is seeking a School Athletics Coach for the Girls Track program (JV). This seasonal role supports the district-wide athletics program at Trevor Browne High School, with duties covering safety, compliance, and athlete development.

The coach will enforce district policies, ensure supervision, manage equipment, and foster participation across athletic activities, while upholding ethical standards and collaborating with staff and administrators.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a current CPR certification.
• Meet all coaching qualifications and certifications as determined by federal, state and District criteria.
• Pass a background investigation.
• Be recommended by Principal or designee.
• Receive Governing Board approval.
• Possess an active Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Head coach must possess a valid Arizona Teacher or Substitute Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Be knowledgeable of and enforce federal, state and district policies, rules, regulations and procedures.
• Adhere to standards of professional conduct as outlined in Governing Board Policy.
• Follow NO Pass/NO Play policy guidelines.
• Provide for the safety and welfare of all participants in practice areas, locker rooms, and on buses/vans.
• Support the total school athletic program by developing and implementing strategies for encouraging student participation.
• Ensure accurate inventory, storage, issuance, care and collection of all school athletic equipment.
• Adhere to district policies, transportation, and supervision of students and facilities.
• Schedule, organize, supervise and control practices, competitions and pre/post season events.
• Knowledge of sport being coached.
