The role reports to the Athletic Director/Principal/Superintendent and requires compliance with district and NFHS coaching standards. The position includes a stipend and seasonal contract, with responsibilities spanning program planning, equipment care, and community engagement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Department of Public Safety IVP fingerprint clearance card.
• NFHSA coaching certifications including concussion and coaching courses.
• Understanding of the district's athletic program goals.
• Knowledge of coaching techniques and human behavior.
• Strong communication with students, staff and community.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate sportsmanship and respect for officials, opponents and fans.
• Promote a safe learning environment and positive behavior.
• Motivate student athletes to participate and stay engaged.
• Supervise and motivate coaching staff across levels.
• Adhere to AIA rules and manage equipment inventory.
• Develop game schedules, practices, facility use and budget.
• Maintain cooperative relationships with students, parents and staff.
• Provide information to school officials and AIA in a timely manner.
