Haddam Killingworth High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to lead our Girls Softball program as Head Coach. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, a deep understanding of the game, and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.

The Head Coach will be responsible for developing athletes' skills, promoting teamwork, and ensuring a competitive yet supportive environment for all players.

Qualifications

• Previous coaching experience, preferably at the high school level or higher.
• Strong knowledge of softball techniques, strategies, and rules.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to creating a positive, inclusive, and safe environment for all team members.
• First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement a training program that enhances players' skills, teamwork, and game strategy.
• Plan and conduct practices, ensuring they are engaging, educational, and aligned with team goals.
• Organize and oversee all aspects of the softball season, including scheduling games and logistics.
• Foster a positive team culture emphasizing sportsmanship, respect, and personal growth.
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, and administration regarding updates and expectations.
