Summary:

Counselors for Girls Play Strong will lead campers in activities that combine traditional camp experiences with a focus on sports, helping young females find inner strength. Responsibilities include cultivating an empowering environment, developing young leaders, and fostering skills that campers will retain long after camp ends.

Qualifications:
  • Must be 16 years old or older.
  • Interest in working with children in a recreational camp setting.
  • Positive and energetic attitude when working with campers.
  • Prior experience working with youth is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to get in the water (pool or lake) for recreational swim time with campers.
Classification:

Seasonal, non-exempt.

Wage Range:

$15.50 - $18.25 per hour.

Physical Demands:

Frequent standing, walking, sitting, talking, and hearing. Occasional use of hands, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, tasting, or smelling. Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Working Conditions:

Mostly outdoors, exposed to various weather conditions. Moderate noise level.
