The Old Saybrook Board of Education in Connecticut seeks a head coach to lead a school athletic squad, enforce training rules, supervise equipment, and coordinate travel arrangements.

You will work closely with the Athletic Director to ensure eligibility and medical clearance and promote sportsmanship and safety. Valid CT Coaching Certificate or proof of application, CPR/First Aid, and concussion training are required. Application deadline: Until filled.

Qualifications

• Valid CT Coaching Certificate #600 or Proof of Application.
• CPR/First Aid certification and Concussion Training.

Responsabilités

• Lay down strict training rules for the squad and enforce them.
• Supervise team dress, conduct, and behavior in games, practices, trips, and other events representing the school.
• Maintain high personal standards and avoid criticism through professional conduct.
• Care for equipment, supervise locker rooms and showers before/after practices and games.
• Arrange travel details and supervise team members on trips.
• Coordinate with the Athletic Director on schedules, officials, and equipment purchasing.
• Provide eligibility, medical insurance, and parent consent materials for interscholastic competition.
• Select and train student managers for duties on trips and games.
• Issue equipment efficiently and ensure proper distribution and inventory.
