Job Summary

Cheran Group of Institutions seeking a Hostel Warden/Hostel Manager to manage the hostel and provide administrative support to the Admin Manager. The Hostel Warden/ Hostel Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the hostel, ensuring the safety and security of the residents, and ensuring that the hostel meets the needs of its occupants.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for allotment of rooms to the students.
  • Oversee the admission and discharge of hostel residents.
  • Adhere to strict discipline among students of the hostels.
  • Maintaining the student attendance register, leave register, IN/Out register & personal records of the hostel student.
  • Take attendance for students and ensure that all students are in the hostel within the prescribed hours.
  • Provided daily reports on the students to the respective college principals.
  • Ensure the safety and security of all students at all times.
  • Communicate with the higher management in case of any indiscipline or misbehavior by the students.
  • Respond promptly to any emergency situations that may arise, including medical emergencies, disciplinary emergencies, etc
  • Supervise the daily activities of the hostel and ensure that it is running smoothly
  • Ensure that the hostel is clean, safe, and well-maintained at all times
  • To ensure that no ragging takes place in the hostels and maintain a ragging-free Hostel.
  • Ensure that all hostel policies and procedures are being followed by students & staff.
  • Ensure quality food is served to the hostel students.
  • Responsible to give students head count to the Mess provider to supply sufficient food.
  • Monitor the cleanness of the mess hall, cooking area to provide hygiene food
  • Maintain and check the mess grievance register and report to the Hostel Manager / Admin Manager and Hostel Committee members
  • Responsible and in charge of all the hostel properties and has to verify the stock periodically
  • Looks into the grievances/complaints of the students if found genuine.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must have any Bachelor Degree.
  • At least 7 years of experience in in reputed educational institutions as Resident Hostel Warden / Hostel Manager
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of hostel regulations and safety requirements

Note

Salary will be based on qualification and experience and will not be a limiting factor for the right candidate.

Preference will be given for Immediate Joiners
