Job summary

Proviso Township High Schools District 209 seeks a Varsity Girls Bowling Head Coach to lead a competitive program under the Athletic Director. The role requires teaching credentials or equivalent ASEP/NFHS certification, strong coaching background, and adherence to all IHSA and ISBE regulations.

Responsibilities include program oversight, athlete development, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination with staff and parents to promote student-athlete growth and success.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois State Teaching Certificate or ASEP/NFHS certification as required by IHSA.
• CPR and AED certification compliance for high school coaches.
• IHSA concussion awareness training and safety protocols.
• Background check and fingerprinting clearance per state rules.
• Federal Title IX training for compliance with anti-discrimination laws.
• Coaching certification through ASEP/NFHS/IHSA-approved programs when not teaching.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the program.
• Demonstrate strong leadership, supervision and organization.
• Foster an inclusive environment for students, staff and parents.
• Plan, coordinate and implement training programs.
• Instruct athletes and assistant coaches in skills and safety.
• Ensure compliance with IHSA, ISBE, and district policies.
