Job summary

Lincoln Consolidated Schools in Michigan is seeking a Girls Basketball - JV Head Coach for the upcoming season. This part-time, seasonal role reports to the Athletic Director/Principal and focuses on developing technical skills and game understanding while building good sportsmanship.

The coach will mentor student-athletes, plan practices, manage competitions, and ensure safety with CPR/First Aid readiness.

POSITION: Girls Basketball - JV Head Coach

FLSA STATUS: NON-EXEMPT

SUMMARY

Position is responsible for coaching and mentoring student-athletes, teaching sport-specific skills and strategies, and preparing students for athletic competition. Promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, personal growth, and a positive athletic experience. Position motivates student athletes to develop an appreciation of the sport.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Possess a high school diploma
• Knowledge of the sport including rules, techniques, and strategies.
• Ability to teach and develop athletic skills while prioritizing safety.
• Ability to prepare students to participate in the sport in a competitive and sportsmanlike way.
• Consistently promotes fairness, respect, and multiple perspectives in all responsibilities
• Demonstrates professionalism, fairness, respect, and good sportsmanship.
• Experience as a head coach or assistant coach.
• Ability to motivate, mentor, and relate to students in a positive manner.
• Meet requirements for public school employment.
• Maintaining constant supervision; staying current with CPR/First Aid and emergency action plans.
