Job summary

Watertown Public Schools in Massachusetts is seeking a Girls Basketball Head Coach for the 26-27 winter season. This stipend position requires leadership to develop student-athletes and coordinate the basketball program.

Qualifications

Previous coaching experience or strong knowledge of the sport is required.
High school diploma or equivalent.
CPR Certified
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
A commitment to the academic and athletic development of student-athletes.
Ability to react to change productively and manage multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and supervise programs and teams.
Help students improve athletic skills and team performance.
Design a training program and a game program.
Organize and supervise the coaching staff to ensure the program is implemented correctly.
Train assistant coaches in techniques, skills, philosophy, rules, and strategies.
Call meetings with coaching staff periodically and consistently throughout the sports season.
Responsible for assisting the Activities Director with scheduling the following: game schedules, practice schedules, transportation.
