J.O. Combs Unified School District is seeking a Girls Assistant Basketball coach at Combs High School in San Tan Valley. This is a seasonal, part-time stipend position with duties that include developing players, promoting discipline, and fostering teamwork.

The coach will work under the Athletic Director/Principal/Superintendent to maintain a competitive program and ensure safe, respectful environments for students and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid DPS Level One IVP fingerprint clearance card.
• NFHSA certification including concussion course and other required courses.
• Must meet National High School Federation rules for coaches.
• Understanding of the district's athletic program goals.
• Knowledge of coaching techniques and human behavior.
• Positive, effective communication with students, employees, parents, and community.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrate proper sportsmanship and respect for officials, opponents, fans, and other coaches.
• Motivate student athletes to participate and sustain their interest in the program.
• Maintain and develop an efficient and competitive team environment.
• Assist in developing game schedules, scheduling practices, facility use, and program budget.
• Communicate with parents, athletes, and school personnel regarding deadlines, fees, and academic requirements.
• Adhere to all Ethical Guidelines for Coaches.
