Qualifications

• WV teaching certification or WVDE teaching permit required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• WVSSAC certification required for coaching.
• WV Department of Education coaching certification processes referenced.

Responsibilities

• Develops rapport with coaching staff and school community.
• Organizes coaching staff and designs practice sessions.
• Teaches fundamental skills and develops high-caliber instruction.
• Handles athletic injuries and cares for equipment.
• Supervises participants, disciplines team as needed, and manages budget.
• Follows WVSSAC policies and league requirements.
• Attends league, conference and WVSSAC meetings and participates in staff development.
