Job summary

Ramapo High School is seeking an Assistant Coach for Girls Basketball for the 2026-2027 season. The role supports the Head Coach in all aspects of the basketball program, fostering skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship among student-athletes.

The ideal candidate has prior coaching and/or playing experience at high school, collegiate, or club level, strong basketball knowledge, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Previous coaching and/or playing experience in high school, collegiate, or club level.
• Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, strategies, and safety protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive environment for high school athletes.
• Availability for practices, games, and team events, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting practices, drills, and workouts.
• Provide instruction on basketball techniques, strategies, and rules.
• Support game-day operations, including warm-ups, and post-game analysis.
• Mentor student-athletes, promoting academic success and development.
• Assist with equipment management and logistics with players and parents.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful team culture.
