Job summary

Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma is seeking a dedicated bar support team member to assist bartenders and cocktail servers, maintain glassware, garnishes, ice, and supplies at the workstation, and ensure clean, well-stocked service areas.

Responsibilities include stocking supplies, rotating stock, washing glassware, cutting garnishes, transporting ice, and adhering to all Oklahoma liquor laws and tribal beverage regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• ABLE Certification.
• Read write and understand simple instructions.
• Basic math knowledge is required to perform this job
• Previous bar or restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist bartender in maintaining supplies at workstation.
• Rotate stock, wash and stock glassware, maintain stock of fruit fill and replace.
• Fill ice bins, clean surfaces, check kegs, replace bar mats, sweep floors and clean glasswasher screens.
• Cut slice and peel perishable garnishes and fruits.
• Scoop ice from bins and replenish ice containers.
• Box and save empty liquor bottles for returns and requisitions.
• Transport taps and perform routine maintenance on heavy beer kegs.
• Check station before, during and after shift to ensure cleanliness.
• Comply with all Oklahoma Liquor Laws and Choctaw Nation Alcoholic Beverage Ordinances.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Job Purpose or Objective(s):

You will assist the bartender/cocktail servers in providing satisfactory beverage service by maintaining supplies of garnish, glassware, ice, and liquor at assigned workstation. You will report to the Beverage Shift Manager.

Primary Tasks:

• 1. You will check with and assist Bartender in maintaining supplies i.e. straws, stir sticks, napkins, and matches for workstation.
• 2. You will rotate stock, wash and stock glassware, maintain stock of fruit fill and replace.
• 3. Fill ice bins, empty garbage, replace trash liners, wipe and pick up surfaces as time allows, check kegs, replace dirty bar mats, sweep floors, clean screens in glass washer, wipe down bottles, clean spouts, clean beer drains, gun drains, counter drains and ice bins.
• 4. You will cut slice and peel perishable garnishes and fruits.
• 5. Scoop ice from bins, transport to service areas and replenish ice containers.
• 6. Box and save empty liquor bottles as they accumulate for later returns and requisitions.
• 7. You will transport taps, replace and perform routine maintenance requirements on heavy beer kegs.
