Long Term Substitute (LTS) for the 2025-2026 SY

Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate
- Gifted Endorsement helpful, but not required
Essential Functions:
- Write and enforce GIEPs.
- Design, implement and evaluate individual instructional programs based on the individual pupil needs and learning style.
- Plan and implement individual and group classroom management procedures and programs which facilitate learning.
- Monitor student progress in individual programs through techniques such as observation, formal and informal testing, attainment of objectives, etc.
- Provide input to program supervisors and/or principal as to appropriate material and strategies used in implementing individual programs.
- Maintain professional competence through in-service education activities provided by the district and self-selected professional growth activities.
- Select, requisition, and distribute instructional materials, maintaining required inventory records.
- Participate in curriculum development programs as required.
- Provide general education teachers with suggestions for enrichment and acceleration.
- Coordinate special activities for the gifted population to further their interests and gifted potential.

- Three state-mandated clearances dated within one year
- Three letters of recommendation dated within one year
Clearance Requirements:
Employee must have clearances from the state and federal government, including:
- Act 114 Federal Criminal History Record
- Act 34 Criminal Record Check
- Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance
- Act 168 Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure
