Qualifications

• Properly certified in all areas of assignment.
• Demonstrates cooperativeness and willingness to carry out tasks.
• Bilingual, ESL, TESOL Endorsement as needed at each site.
• Be Highly Qualified according to NCLB.

Responsibilities

• Provide a basic care program for identified students per state codes and local guidelines.
• Coordinate and supervise work experience and on-campus job training for Special Education students.
• Collaborate with regular teachers to interpret abilities/disabilities for staff and assist in classwork.
• Confer with parents and staff regarding student wellness, strengths, educational and behavioral progress.
• Assist in resolving educational or disciplinary problems of students.
• Assist in screening/evaluating and recommending placements in the Special Education Program.
• Counsel individuals and groups of Special Education students on education and career goals.
• Supervise students in and out of school activities as assigned.
