Job summary

Charyl Stockwell Academy in Howell/Hartland area is seeking an Academically & Intellectually Gifted Teacher to design and deliver high-level, differentiated instruction for advanced learners. The role emphasizes critical thinking, creativity, and independent problem-solving, with social-emotional support.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Education and a current State Teaching License with AIG endorsement (or active enrollment).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education.
• Current State Teaching License with AIG endorsement or active enrollment in an approved program with pending completion.
• Minimum 2 years of classroom teaching experience preferred.
• Strong foundation in project-based learning, STEM/STEAM integration, and differentiation.

Responsibilities

• Advanced instruction: design and deliver rigorous curricula extending standards in core subjects.
• Identify gifted students through data, portfolios, and tests.
• Differentiate learning with tiered instruction, push-in/pull-out enrichment.
• Address social-emotional needs of gifted learners including perfectionism and overexcitabilities.
• Maintain partnerships with parents, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams.
