Charyl Stockwell Academy in the Brighton/Howell area is hiring a full-time Special Education Teacher. You will provide instruction and accommodations to students with disabilities, ensuring access to appropriate services.

The role requires Michigan teacher certification with Special Education endorsement and experience developing IEPs. You will collaborate with general education teachers and families, maintaining records and tracking progress.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Michigan teaching certification/license in Elementary or secondary education with a Special Education endorsement.
• Experience with students with disabilities and IEP development.
• Strong knowledge of best practices in special education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Strong organizational skills for planning and assessing activities.

Mansioni

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to standards.
• Assess student progress using varied methods.
• Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Deliver instruction in diverse settings, including small groups.
• Provide instructional and behavioral supports for students with disabilities.
