Job summary

Juneau-based Salmon Bake gift shop seeks a Gift Shop Supervisor to provide exceptional customer service, maintain a stocked and inviting shop, and promote sales during the season.

As Gift Shop Manager, you will oversee inventory, POS processing, end-of-season reporting, staff training, banking duties, safety compliance, and create a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining cleanliness in the shop and tasteful display of merchandise
• Ensuring merchandise inventories are unpacked, coded and entered into the POS system
• Maintaining up-to-date inventory & providing monthly and end of season inventory report
• Keeping stockroom neat and organized for ease in locating merchandise
• Managing pre-season set up and end of season take down
• Training additional sales associates in operation of POS systems and daily reporting
• Perform daily banking duties (deposits, cash handling, credit card processing, etc.)
• Creating a positive, professional culture and work environment
• Understanding and compliance with company safety & operational policies

Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a stocked, organized and inviting Gift shop for our Salmon Bake guests.

As the Gift Shop Manager, you are responsible for the successful operation of a seasonal gift shop. You will be responsible for ensuring excellent customer service, creating an inviting atmosphere, managing appropriate inventory practices and actively promoting sales to ensure the shop’s success.
