Staffmark Group seeks a Gift Shop Associate in Avery Island, LA to welcome guests, assist with product selection, and handle transactions. The position runs 8:30 am–5:00 pm with every other weekend shifts, supporting stock, displays, and customer service in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to accurately handle cash and electronic transactions.
• Retail, cashier, or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Positive attitude and willingness to assist customers.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide a friendly shopping experience.
• Assist with product selection and answer questions about souvenirs and gift items.
• Operate cash registers and process transactions accurately.
• Stock shelves and replenish merchandise as needed.
• Organize displays and maintain an attractive sales floor.
• Monitor inventory and report low-stock items.
• Receive, unpack, and price incoming merchandise.
• Handle customer inquiries, returns, and concerns professionally.
• Promote featured products, seasonal items, and special offers.
• Follow opening, closing, and cash-handling procedures.
• Work with team members to support efficient store operations.
