Gideon Math & Reading - Richmond is seeking a friendly, reliable Math Tutor who loves working with children. You will guide students from elementary concepts to high school Geometry using Gideon curriculum, maintain a positive classroom atmosphere, and provide feedback through graded booklets.

You will train on our curriculum and teaching methods, enjoy a flexible part-time schedule, and work in a calm, supportive environment that emphasizes student confidence and growth.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of tutoring or teaching experience.
• Strong aptitude for math and the ability to teach through high school Geometry.
• Patient, positive, and encouraging.
• Organized and dependable.
• Enjoy helping students understand difficult concepts and succeed.

Responsibilities

• Stay positive, encouraging, and professional with students
• Work with students on math concepts ranging from elementary math through high school Geometry
• Using our answer keys, grade work completed by students in their pre-assigned booklets
• Answer students’ questions and explain math concepts clearly
• Guide students toward independent learning and problem-solving
• Identify mistakes and help students understand how to correct them

  Gideon Math & Reading is looking for a friendly, helpful, and reliable Math Tutor who loves working with children!

At least 1 year of tutoring or teaching experience is required.
As a Math Tutor, you will work with students of different ages and skill levels using the Gideon Math & Reading curriculum and methods. We are looking for someone with a strong aptitude for math who is comfortable teaching math through high school Geometry. Training on the Gideon curriculum and teaching methods will be provided.
