Gideon Math & Reading - Richmond is seeking a friendly, reliable Math Tutor who loves working with children and helping them succeed. You will work with students from elementary level up through high school Geometry using Gideon curriculum and methods, with training provided.

This part-time role offers a flexible schedule, a calm, encouraging environment, and paid training. A minimum of one year tutoring or teaching experience is required, along with a strong aptitude for math.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of tutoring or teaching experience.
• Strong math aptitude capable of teaching through high school Geometry.
• Training on Gideon curriculum and teaching methods provided.

Responsibilities

• Stay positive, encouraging, and professional with students.
• Work with students on math concepts ranging from elementary math through high school Geometry.
• Using our answer keys, grade work completed by students in their pre-assigned booklets.
• Answer students’ questions and explain math concepts clearly.
• Guide students toward independent learning and problem-solving.
• Identify mistakes and help students understand how to correct them.

Gideon Math & Reading is looking for a friendly, helpful, and reliable Math Tutor who loves working with children!

At least 1 year of tutoring or teaching experience is required.

As a Math Tutor, you will work with students of different ages and skill levels using the Gideon Math & Reading curriculum and methods. We are looking for someone with a strong aptitude for math who is comfortable teaching math through high school Geometry. Training on the Gideon curriculum and teaching methods will be provided.
