Pinehurst Medical Clinic (PMC) is seeking a GI Technologist to support the Endoscopy suite and patient care. The role includes preparing patients, obtaining supplies, and delivering instruments to the GI Doctor in a timely fashion.

The position features four 10-hour shifts weekly, day shift hours, and a commitment to safe, high-quality care. BLS is required; NBSTSA/NCCT/NHA certification and prior GI tech experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
• Preferred NBSTSA, NCCT, or NHA certification.
• Previous GI Technologist experience preferred.
• Knowledge of surgical procedures and protocols desired.

Responsabilités

• Coordinates multidisciplinary activities to provide high standard of care.
• Assists in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments prior to procedures.
• Prepares patient, assembles supplies, instruments and equipment; disposes of specimens properly.
• Provides GI Doctor with instruments, supplies and equipment in a timely manner.
• Assists with room turnover and instrument/equipment processing.
• Assists with patient positioning according to policy.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What will you do as a PMC GI Tech:

The GI Technologist applies surgical technology skills to assist in providing patient care in the Endoscopy suite. The GI Technologist assists in maintaining a safe work environment and performs all related job responsibilities. This position works four (4), ten (10) hour shifts per week.

A day in the life of a PMC GI Tech may include:

• Coordinates the multidisciplinary activities required to provide the highest standard of care for the patient including providing a safe environment for the patient.
• Assists in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments prior to the procedure.
• Assists in preparation of patient, assembly of supplies, instruments and equipment as well as proper disposition of all specimens.
• Provides the GI Doctor with appropriate instruments, supplies and equipment in a timely manner.
• Assists with all aspects of room turnover and instrument/equipment processing.
• Assists with positioning of the patient according to departmental policy.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider required.

Preferred Qualifications

Certification from NBSTSA, NCCT, or NHA is highly desired.

Previous experience as a GI Technologist preferred. Knowledge of surgical procedures, policies, and protocols desired.
