Job summary

Pinehurst Medical Clinic seeks a GI Tech to join the Endoscopy team in Pinehurst, NC. The role supports patient care in the endoscopy suite, maintaining a safe work environment and timely instrument delivery. Four 10-hour shifts per week comprise the schedule.

The ideal candidate has Basic Life Support and preferred GI technologist experience with knowledge of procedures and protocols. The clinic offers comprehensive benefits and equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
• Preferred NBSTSA, NCCT, or NHA certification.
• Previous GI Technologist experience preferred; knowledge of surgical procedures and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the Endoscopy suite, providing instruments, supplies and equipment as needed.
• Prepare patient and assemble instruments; ensure safe environment and room turnover.
• Support GI Doctor with timely instrument delivery and specimen disposition.
• Coordinate supplies/instruments prior to procedures and assist with patient positioning.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What will you do as a PMC GI Tech:

The GI Technologist applies surgical technology skills to assist in providing patient care in the Endoscopy suite. The GI Technologist assists in maintaining a safe work environment and performs all related job responsibilities. This position works four (4), ten (10) hour shifts per week.

A day in the life of a PMC GI Techmay include:

• Coordinates the multidisciplinary activities required to provide the highest standard of care for the patient including providing a safe environment for the patient.
• Assists in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments prior to the procedure.
• Assists in preparation of patient, assembly of supplies, instruments and equipment as well as proper disposition of all specimens.
• Provides the GI Doctor with appropriate instruments, supplies and equipment in a timely manner.
• Assists with all aspects of room turnover and instrument/equipment processing.
• Assists with positioning of the patient according to departmental policy.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider required.

Preferred Qualifications

Certification from NBSTSA, NCCT, or NHA is highly desired.
