Medix in Schaumburg, IL seeks a detail-oriented Endoscopy/GI Technician to assist providers with EGDs and colonoscopies, ensuring sterile setup and efficient workflow.
The role is full-time, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with daily caseload of 8–15 patients. Requires minimum 1 year GI tech experience and BLS certification. Hospital experience is preferred.

Full Time
6:30 AM – 3:00 PM shift .
$20 - 30.50/hr
Minimum 1 year of endoscopic suite / specific GI tech experience
BLS certification
Preferred: Experience from hospital endoscopic labs
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree in a related field is a plus) .
Technical Skills: Direct assist experience with EGDs and colonoscopies .
Knowledge: Understanding of endoscopic suite workflows, procedure setups, and assisting providers during GI procedures .
Provide direct assistance to healthcare providers during EGD and colonoscopy procedures .
Complete efficient setup for all endoscopic procedures (approximately 10 minutes per setup) .
Manage a daily patient volume ranging from 8–10 up to 15 patients per day .
Focus strictly on direct procedure assistance to maintain clinical flow .
Maintain a clean, prepared, and safe clinical environment for GI procedure patients .
Ensure all required procedural supplies and equipment are readily available prior to each patient .
Support clinical staff and providers to ensure smooth, high-quality patient care delivery throughout the shift .
