Job summary

San Ramon Endoscopy Center is seeking a GI Tech to join our team as a full-time position in San Ramon, CA. The role supports patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and ensures centralized distribution and control of supplies and equipment for the facility.

The GI Tech also handles shipping/receiving, stores prepared articles, and maintains inventory according to facility procedures while assisting in procedures and adhering to OSHA standards for safety.

Qualifications

• 1 year of GI experience.
• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and meticulous.
• Basic understanding of endoscopy procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to meet patient outcomes under RN direction.
• Coordinate distribution and control of supplies and equipment.
• Ship and receive, store prepared articles and supplies.
• Maintain and track inventory per facility procedures.
• Assist nurses and physicians during procedures, including specimen collection.
• Follow OSHA and other standards for protection against blood borne pathogens.
• Assist in placing patient monitors (BP cuffs, pulse oximeter, EKG).

GI Tech Full Time at San Ramon Endoscopy Center

The GI Tech is responsible for the provision of care to meet identified patient outcomes and to achieve the goals of the facility as directed by the Registered Nurse. Provides a centralized distribution and control of supplies and equipment to the facility. In charge of shipping and receiving, stores prepared articles and supplies in designated areas. Maintains and tracks inventory according to facility procedures.

• Assists in the care, maintenance, preparation and cleaning of equipment per manufacturer’s guidelines.
• Provides assistance to nurses and physician during procedure per the nurses’ direction, including but not limited to collecting specimens.
• Follows OSHA and other standards for protection against blood borne pathogens.
• Uses good body mechanics and aseptic technique.
• Assists in the placement of patient monitors per the nurses directions (ie BP cuffs, pulse oximeter, EKG leads, etc.)

Hourly Range: $25.00 - $27.80/hour. Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.

Pay Range:
