Job summary

The Surgery Center of Fort Lauderdale is hiring an experienced GI Registered Nurse for our Endoscopy practice. This full-time role requires strong energy, teamwork, and superb patient service.

You will care for patients in a fast-paced ambulatory setting and support endoscopy procedures with equipment maintenance and clinical assistance in the OR. Minimum 2 years GI experience in a hospital setting is required, along with Florida nursing licensure, CPR, and ACLS.

Qualifications

• Florida nursing license is required.
• Current CPR and ACLS certifications needed.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum 2 years GI experience in a hospital setting.
• Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the Endoscopy Unit and participate in management of the unit.
• Maintain endoscopes and specialized equipment used in endoscopic procedures.
• Provide technical assistance during procedures in the OR and assist the surgical team.

The Surgery Center of Fort Lauderdale is looking to add an experienced GI Registered Nurse who is a team player to our thriving Endoscopy practice. We need someone who has good energy, enjoys customer service and performs well with minimal supervision.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent nursing care, and to actively participate in and contribute to the management of the Endoscopy Unit. They are expected to participate in the maintenance of endoscopes and other specialized equipment used in endoscopic and non-endoscopic procedures and provide technical assistance during such procedures in the OR. This is an fast-paced ambulatory center but excellent patient service is a priority and commitment at every staff level.

Education/Experience:

• Current Florida Nursing License
• Current CPR, ACLS
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Minimum 2 years of GI experience in a hospital setting
• Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, hospital staff, physicians, vendors and the public.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
